Default Please Help Me!!!!

Less than a week ago I bought a 2000 Kia spectra with 94,000 miles on it. The day I drove it home I started smelling something burning, and the car started shaking. So, I pulled off the interstate and had my husband come get me, and tow the kia home. To make a long story short, I took it the next day and got the oil changed (which came out in chunks, once they finally got it to come out) The transmission flushed (black as coal), coolant flushed, fuel injector cleaner, new fuel filter, spark plugs, and cylinders 2&3 are still misfiring. It idols really rough, the check engine light blinks right before the cylinders miss, and I don't know what to do. PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS, I'LL TRY ANYTHING AT THIS POINT!!!!!!

Sounds to me like someone pulled one over on you. Depending on where you bought it and what they told you you may have legal recourse. It sounds to me like the car was extremely poorly cared for with little/no preventative maintenance. Black trans fluid means the clutches got burned/worn and the fluid wasn't changed. Chunky engine oil is also only caused by leaving it in there well past the manufacturer's recommendations. I'd bet that if you have a compression test done cylinders 2/3 will test poorly from lack of clean oil (scored cylinders). The car is trashed, the question now is since you just bought it what is your best recourse.

Why in the hell would you put a new motor in a 2000 Kia for?

I can see maybe a 1985 Monte Carlo SS, but a Kia.

Time to get a new ride.

Replace both coil packs, get 2 new plug wires, and replace the plugs.

Okay so heres the deal, I ran it up and down the interstate a couple of times to see how it acted. If the overdrive is turned off it isn't as bad with the shaking. I checked the oil this morning and its black again. It's burning oil really fast. I dropped all my paperwork on it off with my lawyer and he's supposed to get back with me about getting my money back. Any reason it would burn oil that quickly?

Oh and by the way JLeather your right on with the cylinders 2/3. I took it to autozone to see why the check engine light was on and they told the same thing...
