Try the 'ETM' section on the KiaTech web site for the wiring diagrams - see the link in my sig.

It could be a problem with the the main EGI relay or the Fuel Pump relay.

As a test you could use a jumper in the Diagnostic Plug in the engine bay to force the power to the fuel pump - this jumper bypass the EGI and FP relay to power up the FP.

Unfortunately the KiaTech web site doesn't have the Shuma listed, but bellow is a link to the picture of the Spectra's fuse/relay box in the engine compartment.

The Main or EGI relay and the Fuel Pump relay are usually in the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment and the lid of the box has the layout/legend.

If you're getting fuel to the engine then the relay and pump are OK.

I dont believe that the FP and EGI/MAIN relay are related to you fuel gauge problem - for this you should try the ETM section on KiaTech's web site for a wiring schematic and trace it from the the tank sender unit to the dash.

Wont start - have you checked that you're getting spark, fuel though the injectors, and the valve timing is 100% ?
