Default lower control arm r/f spectra 07???

does anyone know what this is??

"lower control arm r/f"

i took my car in because it was pulling to the left and i think my axle was cracked. its an '07 and when ever i turn the steering wheel to parrallel park ti made a clanking sound.

they said they found nothing wrong with it...when i explained it to them i took a road test with them. they saw it went to the left. then i said ok now park it and when he did he heard it and froze in shock.

i said what can that be? he said i dont know. so i left it one more day. i picked it up yesterday and they told me they replaced the "lower control arm r/f" because it was worn out but they could not explain to me what that was..

nether less the car still goes to the left and they said they were ordering an axle for me.

yea but what is a "lower control arm r/f"???

front right lower control arm is a piec of the suspension that travels up and down to with the shock/strut. it is used to make sure the wheel is pointed straight and cant turn with out the steering wheel being turned

You still have to get an alignment done before it will stop pulling to the left. The dealership should do that for you under warranty since you didn't cause the problem and they are supposed to fix it.

thanks...they are saying alignments aren't covered by warranty and want to charge me $475. i told them the car is a year old. they are claiming its wear and tear like your breaks, belts or hoses.

The lower control arm should be covered under warranty but the alignment is on you. An alignment should be $60.00 tops.

if you are under 12k miles look in your man it will show you that they will cover an alignment under the factory adjustment warranty which is up to 12 its covers alignment and tire rotation and brakes.
