I know but it seems like his mom can't hear it or doesnt notcie it. Maybe they should install a strobe light on the dash

No, the "ding ding" when the headlights are on works just fine, but when you're 77 and focusing on something else, you can miss things like that.

Hey, I've missed those little "ding dings" and I'm much younger! lol

I'm going to go with the battery guard from Canadian Tire, unless I can find one that works the same without the remote control, which we don't need.

My spectra has the auto off feature for the headlights but, if you press one of the buttons on the keyless entry remote the park light will come back on. My battery has died a couple of times for that reason.
