Cruise Control Problem
I have an '02 Spectra 5 door and have absolutely loved it. Had no major problems with it - runs great, etc.
Over the years, there were times when my cruise control would not engage. The on/off button was on, but it would not pick up. The problem was always intermittent, until about 3 months ago, when it stopped working completely. I didn't think much about it - put it on my 'to do' list for when I get a chance to dig in and see if I can spot a problem.
Today, though, as I was driving the Auto Cruise indicator light on the dash began flashing very fast. It doesn't look like a warning flash, more of a short circuit, because it doesn't seem to be flashing at a constant rate. The on/off button is off, so there should be no power going to the cruise system.
Has anyone else had an issue with the cruise control in this manner? Like I said, other than this, I've had no problems with the car, so I am hoping this might be an easy fix. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
