center consolearound stereo etc

On a 2004.5, how can I safely remove the plastic cover that goes around the center console? This starts at the top near the clock and goes down to the climate buttons.
Please advise.

If you are talking about that piece that surrounds the clock, radio and climate controls all I did was take a puddy knife and start on the bottom right of the piece you want to take off and pry it off enough til I could get my fingers behind it to take it off the rest of the way. It may feel like you are going to break it but you wont. Once removed you wont be able to move it too much till you get the climate controls/clock unplugged.
