I still have the facotry warranty, but am not clear if they will replace it. I can replace all other lights when they burn out, but have no experience with this one. Any anwers would be greatly appreciated.

The spoiler brake light is a long set of encapsulated LEDs. It's a one piece unit, and needs to be replaced as a unit.
My 2004.5 had 2 of them quit lighting at about the 6 month mark, and it was replaced no questions asked at that point.
Here it is, about 2 years and 26k miles later, and mine are acting up again, especially when it was very cold during the winter. It seems like mine get "better" after the brakes have been lit several times, such as they do on my drive home. I went to show it to the service writer when I went in for an oil change, and of course they lit perfectly.
I figure that eventually the bad section will go kaput, and I won't have to worry about recreating the problem. I'm an original owner, so I have a long time and miles to go yet on the B-to-B warranty.
I hope I don't get any grief when/if that day comes! So far my minor warranty issues have been handled wth a minimum of fuss.
Let us know what happens!
