'06 Spectra5 Wheel ?'s

Hi all--

Just got my intro post out of the way so it's time to fire off my first ?'s--
I saw a post from "oldjeep" that stated the rims on my car are 16x6 with a 4x114.3 hole pattern. Could it possibly be a 16x6.5? Stock tires are 205/50-16.

First, does anyone know the offset for these rims. Looking at aftermarkets leads me to believe it's somewhere in the 35-40(mm?) range. Also, pretty much all the af rims are 7" wide. Will the stock tires fit correctly on a 1" wider rim?

Next, if I go to a 17x7 rim, I think I should stay at a 205/215 45 series rather than a 40 to preserve some ride commfort. Does anyone know of any issues with this setup?

I cant answer all of your questions. I do know that the bolt pattern is 4x114.3 and the wheel offset is 43. As for putting the stockers on a 16X7 rim I had no issues doing that with mine.

Ride quality doesnt suffer to bad with 40 series tires. IF you buy a good quality tire.I have them on my other car... The prelude..

Thanks, that's what I needed to hear. Any harm in going down to say a 38 offset?

5mm difference isn't going to matter.

I am running 17x7's with a 205/45/17 with no problems.

Doesnt affect the speedometer at all.
