I have had my car into the dealership now 5 times for oddball sensor problems ...Emissions Evaporate Sensor they told me..then the Gas Cap..twice..both times they didnt change the cap just reset the computer.

I hate being told "you aren't putting the gas cap on right" how many ways can you put it on..I am 250lbs and 6"0 I am by no means not strong enough to properly put a gas cap on I have owned 2 GM trucks before this car and never had an issue..but I get a Kia and bam..must of forgot how to put a gas cap on..drank the skill away once night..I dunno.

Good thing though I have been without issue for 3 weeks now..far apart from a weekly visit to the dealership for a engine light. I love the car how it drives, the gas mileage..but I cant see myself goin Korean again.

Default one more thing comes to my mind

a month ago my car started to make this noise in the rear axle caused by abnormal wear in the bearings so I took my car to my dealer and they said no warranty is valid because of the normal wear...so that infuriated me and I went to the manager to expose my case he told me that he´d ask his superior and later he told me that they will repair it.
OK, so the cost of the bearing as a set is $ 18.00 but they didn´t changed the inner and outer races (both bearings)
They didn´t replaced the bearing as a set instead they replaced the outer race only ( a cost of $ 5.52) ....is this the way to cover a warranty?

what do you think Schnauzer?

I have 52,000 Km (32,318 Miles) in my car and the bearings have started to present problems. My warranty (if the dealer wants) is valid for 100,000 Km or 3 years whatever comes first...but this dealer is so bad...

Almost 83k on my 2005 and I had the sensor replaced once around 30k...no problems after that...oh I did have one issue where the speedometer would stop and then come back on...They replaced that sensor too...no problems since. Other than that, it's been a great car. I rack up about a 700 - 1000 miles a week on it change the oil every 5000 miles and rotate the tires....that's about all I do to it.

Now that you mentioned I´m having issues with my car gas gauge and even I´ve reported them they say it´s normal.

When I go uphill the gas gauge moves down (even if I have the tank full) and when I go down the gas gauge moves up...can you beleive it?
incredible? no, with this car can happen everything....that´s for sure!

So maybe crabby apple shouldn´t feel so down ´cause here I am with my lemon car and no one to complain who really cares for my problems.

Schnauzer are you copying this man?

I´ve been left down by this car!!!!!! what else can I do? should I go to the consulate of Korea in my country and ask for a translation to Korean and send a letter to Kia Korea Overseas Service Dept.?! because that´s what I´ve been having in my head this days...maybe I´m just losing my time with this!
I´m showing you people the pain and rage I feel of owning this car....worst part of all is I can compare with my other Kia Avella and what a difference!!! a huge difference!!! I refuse to accept this!!!

Wheel bearings are not normally covered under any warranty I've ever seen. They are in the same category as brake rotors and pads - normal wear items.

Your gas guage moves when the car is tilted? Amazing - if I were your car dealer I would buy your car back to make sure that you went away.

Note: this has got nothing to do with Crabby Apples problem which sounds like a real pain.

Real pain? are you kidding? my problems are for real and I have thounsands of documents, changed parts and photos that prove what I´m telling...how can you tell me that? oh yes I know! it´s because you don´t have my car!

And I looked in the warranty policy card they give you and it says nothing abouy the bearings...it do says things like battery and electrical parts...

besides I´m not discussing here if they did well or bad applying the warranty. I´m telling that they should have changed the bearings as a set even if they´d charge me later for the cost of the bearing...this is what I call a job well done but again this dealer is bad...I know some other cases from people complaining of this dealer.
But this is the dealer kia wanted to associate in this country...is so disgusting!!!
I remember one time I took synthetic oil for they to put it in my car and guess what? I discovered they were stealing it and putting normal oil to my car.

Maybe my problems are because my dealer doesn´t want to dedicate time to my car. Maybe they don´t find what the problem is because they don´t have the expertise to analize the problem and correct it.
Again is nice to have the option for calling KIA HOTLINE but here where I live, how do I do that?

This is the price of living in a underdeveloped country (maybe this is a factor for immigration illegal or legal)...Kia doesn´t know what is runing to their customers to hear their complaints here because they don´t need to...I think is different in the states or European countrys where you can put a demand and know you don´t need to bribe the judge to "administer law"...but here to put a demand could take more than 10 years in the process and more than $ 5000.00 which is more than I actually owe of my car and at the end I´ll probably won´t gain anything...so KIA has an advatange of selling their products in latin america where laws are weak, corruption is big in institutions and government employees are corrupts.

hear something about pain?

Hey Schnauzer, would you be so kind as you have been in the past to post something? are my problems different from others?
would you be so kind as to show me the way to kia regional headquarters for latin america?
maybe you could give me an email where I can arrange something about my car and make valid my warranty...or is it different because
I´m from latin america?
I think you are considerate because you did try to offer help in the past to crabby apple...why not offering help to me? please remember I can´t call the national customer service hotline because there´s no hotline here

I would get in touch with the Korean emabassy and ask them for the contact email and phone number for the KIA technical representative and their PR in Korea.
Let them know about your problems and the negative international publicity they are receiving on this forum.

Try this address: Media Contact: Michael Choo mjc@kia.co.kr and

I have an 02 and its O2 sensors have not worked since 05 and the cars check engine light has been on for 4 yrs now. The car runs great but that is my biggest issue. Anything else that went wrong was coveredunder warranty. Most states Lemon Laws say after 3 times for the same issue that you can use it but you have to jump thru hoops to do so...JMO hope it gets solved
