Default Power steering fluid

Good day to all
Obviously I am new to this place.
I have a 2005 Cerato. I lost power steering whilst driving 2 days ago.
Scary shit! Was on a bunch of twisties north of Cairns!
After filling the resouvroir(?) today, when the car is started, the fluid just pumps out underneath! Not good!
Is this common?
My other half has a 22 y.o. Porsche with no fluid leaks. Why does my 'el cheapo' Korean model, less than 2 years old, leak like a seive?
Suggestions are welcome.
I will be contacting the dealer tomorrow and voicing my disapproval!

As an aside: Is it safe to drive without Power Steering? The engine makes a screaming noise.

The screaming is probabally the pump running dry - it'll ruin the pump, but it's probabally already junk. Make sure they replace it when they fix the leak.

Default Power steering fluid cont.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. It seems that this is not a unique problem, so all you cerato owners beware - a number of cerato's have already had a similar occurance - seems a hose on the lower part has managed to come off!!!!. I don't know if Kia replaced the fluid container but i will check that now.
