Question 2006 Spectra Cruise Control

Has anyone added after-market cruise control to their Spectra's? I found that if I can keep my speed to 60, I'll get up to 36 mpg. At 70, I drop down to 26 but at 60mph, I'm barely touching the gas and it's hard to keep at that speed. I've found one place that offers an after-market kit at $209, but I'm hoping that someone can tell me if they've installed this themselves and if so, how well does it work?

I too have a 2006 Spectra with out Cruise contol Waiting for local Kia dealer to call back with a price. Looked at J.C. Witney and they have a after-market cruise for our 2006 Spectra for $129.00 but not sure if I want to deal with drilling hole through firewall for wire harness and tying into brake harness and tach harness.

If you are going to buy aftermarket, I'd go with some place you can get some tech support from. JC Whitney is a great place to get stuff cheap, but you're on your own if you have technical problems.

Take a look here:

Found some other posting that recommend the Rostra Cruise control. Part #'s are: 250-1223 for controller and 250-1483 for wireless switch. Ordered a set from Universal Cruise Controls for $246.85 (with S/H).
