Hi

I have a 2002 Shuma 2 and as far as i know its in a chip in the key so its automatic. If someone tries to start the car without the key, it wont start (as far as i know this is how it works). I have found my Shuma 2 to be reliable, and not alot of problems with it although i have found the wheel tracking goes out of alignment easily. Good car in my opinion.
