Spectra Alternator
I have a firend who has a 2002 Kia Spectra. Not sureof the engine size,but it looks to be a 4 cylinder. His Alternator went out, and I told him I would try to find some info on changing it out.
Can someone tell me how the adjuster works to get the belt off, and how to remove the alternator? I heard there was a bolt on the bottom that you had to get to by raising the car up on a jack?
The adjuster looks like a fairly long bolt on top of the alternator, but when I tried turning it a few times, it didn't look like it was doing much to loosen the belt?
If someone has been thru this and can give any advice, or step-by-step procedure, that would immensely helpful.
