Default New Kia Discounts from Kia

Recently purchased a new Ceed '3' 1.6CRDI 114bhp 6speed at £14,395 which included a £3,000 Kia discount on this model until 31st March 2012. However, I see there are further discounts since then especially on lower grade models.
Until 31st March there was £1,000 off a VR-7.....now £1,500 off
£2,000 off a '1'.........now £2,500 off
£2,500 off a '2'.........now the same
£3,000 off a '3'.........now the same
£3500 off a '4' ........now the same
Metallic paint was £435.00 inc VAT but gone up to £445 since 31st March. It would seem that Kia are anxious to move the lower spec cars before the new Ceed launch in June. Anyone prepared to bet on further discounts for the '2', '3' and '4' specifications?

Hope your enjoying your new cee'd dude... I am not a betting man, but I suppose coming from a business point of view Kia will want to sell the old model, as any manufacturer would and they will increase discount to the maximum point so they at least make even on the price of the car...

Blimey that's some good discounts!
Might have to chop in mine for a better spec pro_ next year, sure they'll discount them before the new pro appears

I know that I'm probably biased, but I still can't understand why anyone buys a new Ceed 1 or 2 rather than a VR-7 if they want a 1.4. In fact the case almost holds good on spec against the Ceed 3.

I'd go for the diesel pro_ '3' personally, at those prices it's very tempting indeed!!
Value wise the VR7's are great, but I honestly wouldn't choose to have this 1.4 motor again. I'm trying to drive gently & 'eco' again at the moment as I've been booting it a lot lately & getting 37-38mpg. Averaging 42mpg across 2 tanks again but god it's dull.
I'd hope to get better consumption with performance from a bigger petrol or diesel motor, but maybe that's wishful thinking!

Just as a "by the way" comment on the VR-7 for all those non-Kia people. The VR-7 badge on the back looks cool, much more so than a plain 1, 2 or 3 suck on the back.

I have new Ceed '3' registered 1st April this month and it doesn't have plain 1,2 3 on the back. Dealer says Kia have stopped doing it. I just have Ceed on the left side and Crdi on the right side. Probably a Kia 'gimmick' to get stock sold before new model comes in and you won't know now what style the cars are anymore from the outside. However, I believe the '3' can be easily spotted with the sporty grlle etc.

Not so easy to spot it from behind.
