Im sorry but thats a load of crap.
My local dealer, Westdrive in Braintree have always given brilliant service. When the car goes in for servicing they will always clean it inside and out.

Just because you have a 150k car doesnt automatically mean you get good service im afraid.

And you obviously hate your car and wish it was something much flasher and more powerful so why frequent a forum with people who are very happy with their Kia and what it offers them?

I do agree with a lot of what you have to say on here Axy but you dont half talk some rubbish sometimes.

OK. Would this fairy tale suit you better:

"Kia is high class premium segment brand aimed towards hardcore car enthusiasts who are all about acceleration, braking, handling and looks, and truly LOVE thir cars. Kia is committed to the highest standards of excellence in customer care and attentively addresses every customer complaint, as evidenced by thousands of happy owners whose needs were taken care of immediately and even the smallest glitches remedied on spot. Kia's mission is to always go one step further in bringing the latest car technology and customer care advancements."

Kia is a modern version of cheap Korean car aimed at lesser-tier customers. Face it, in automotive world Kia is disposable-cup car brand, one notch above unknown and to the Western world obscure Chinese or Indian car brands.

What does everage person think when they hear KIA? Is it "cheap, Korean, unknown" or "reputable, performance, premium segment"?

Be honest to yourself, just for a second. If I am unfortunate enough to drive Kia, it does not mean that I have deceive myself thinking it is a Space Shuttle beacuse it is not.

To sum it all up: it is probably an EXCEPTION to get car cleaning in this segment along with regular service, Kia or not Kia, and not a rule. In fact, it is an EXCEPTION to get proper or ANY customer support AT ALL, as many have witnessed.

I will have 2-year service in a week and will be happy to report how it was - two Kia dealers/services went bankrupt in my town last year and I will go to the remaining, last one.

All of the above is a MUST and A RULE if you have 5 or 7 series BMW, Audi or Porsche. I wonder why.

p.s. Charlee: it IS you.

Why am i "unfortunate" to drive a Kia? I will be honest and say that until i owned my Pro i had the same image of Kia as many (Including you!) One of the guys (who is very into his cars) said to me to look at the Pro when i was in the market for a new car in that price band. The package on offer was far better than what Ford or Vauxhall had at the time and this was the sector that i was looking at.

After 30 months of ownership i would heartily recommend a Kia to anyone. Now whether that is down to the excellent customer service of my dealer i couldnt say.

My Pro, starts and stops, gets me to work without issue and with reasonable economy. It hasnt caused me any real issues in its time with me and for another 4.5 years if anything major goes wrong it will be sorted under warranty. It looks good and is certainly not a "Korean car" of days gone by.

Despite your constant moaning about a lack of power i have found it will happily sit at 100mph+ on motorways which would get me into big trouble if i was caught so do i need any more power than that? Sure it would be nice to have more power but in 99.9% of my driving its fine.Maybe you should adjust your driving style to the car you drive rather than keep asking it to perform in whays that it obviously cant?

So i will ask you Axy, if you hate your car so much why dont you sell it? Im sure you could get a 10-15 year old high end car with the power and kudos you so desperately desire.
But then it wont be as reliable will it? It will probably have rust and electrical issues and high mileage on the engine and a host of other potential issues. But it wont be the Kia that you hate so much will it!

And if you pay a huge amount for a main dealer service you will get you wash and valet (at a price!) or you could go to a small garage and get servicing done and they wont wash and valet your car if its a Kia or a Mercedes

AyJay, I do not know why are you unfortunate do drive a Kia. Usually when I speak or write and when I use first-person singular narrative, I refer to myself and my own opinion.

Axy's done it again. The thread starts off as a pat on the back to a responsive Kia dealer and ends up with Axy insulting the brand as "Kia is a modern version of cheap Korean car aimed at lesser-tier customers. Face it, in automotive world Kia is disposable-cup car brand, one notch above unknown and to the Western world obscure Chinese or Indian car brands".

Axy, just look at recent customer satisfaction surveys in the UK, Kia and Hyundai both do very well, the Ceed has in actual fact won its category in a couple of surveys. As a brand they have both beaten some of the premium brands.

Do what the moderators said recently and don't join in a discussion if you cannot add to it constructively.

Just to ensure I am being constructive recently had the Ceed serviced, price was good and job was done on time and car cleaned, what more could you ask even.

I agree with this, Axy I appreciate you drive a kia and you seem quite disgruntled with the fact, but those of us who cant afford an audi, mercedes, or maclaren choose the kia out of the "lower brands" if you will (no disrespect but the likes of the Focus, Cee'd and Astra are not quite as shiny and oober fantastic space machines / executive salloons as Axy compares to). Some people possibly could find the money to buy those cars, but instead buy a reasonably priced, overall good quality motor, thats reliable, warranty backed by dealers, and really IS a pleasure to drive.

I like many a year ago had barely heard of Kia, the only knowledge I had of it was "I will never own one of those", but the Cee'd came along and turned the Kia class around (some may argue reasonably that the Cerato was the main point in this).

Anyway, Axy, as much as your comments are appreciated in the Q&A side of "whats wrong with my car" or "what can I do with my car", I am afraid your comments that go as far as belittling the humble family cars are just not necessary. You may wish to drive an exectutive car, and you may do so, but if you cant play nicely, should you play at all?

Anyways, sounds like the original OPs service was good overall, and most of us have come across a very positive experience with our dealer, granted you wont always get a good dealerm, and maybe that will spread further country to country as to how much "good service" you can expect from both your car and the dealer. But to all those who enjoy their Cee'd - make your own decisions as you are.

anyway arguing on the internet i refer to the Urban Dictionary (http://www.urbandict...rnet%20argument) "Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics... Even if you win, you're still retarded."

Axy has had his say (and no doubt he will continue as time passes). The problem is that some people take offence to opinions, throw away remarks and occasional unpalatable facts rather too easily instead of putting forward a robust response. It amazes me what low thresholds some people have. I suggest that posting off a hissy fit is least constructive of all; have a good lie down and think it through first.

It is interesting that a forum ostensibly about "which alloy wheels?" or "I have a funny noise, what's broken?" is so lively. All to the good.

Ace Demon

I am not alone thinking that Axy has posted unecessary comments on this thread. The Moderators warned posters to be careful last week following Axy's personal comments about myself and my wife which were removed. Please do not suggest that trying to get a thread that started friendly and had degenerated into the usual Axy "I hate Kia" thread as "posting off a hissy fit". Suggest you are the one that needs to think your comments through since you and Axy appear to be in a minority when the rest of us agree.
