Default Black wheels?

Im toying with the idea of changing the wheel colour on my Silver Pro. The wheels are silver just like the car and i fancy something different. Im thinking that black wheels would look good but what to go for, Gloss,Satin or Matt?

Theres a company not far from me (Wicked wheels) that can do all sorts of magic with wheels and theres even a powder coaters in the next village so i have a multitude of options. Does anyone have any pics of a silver pro with black wheels so i can get an idea of what it would look like?

Any opinions welcomed ( But it doesnt mean i will listen to them!)

My only advice is - cleaning a black cars a pain - cleaning Matt black alloys is a pain.
Don't get either !!! Oops !!! LOL
Satin may be ok, not a fan of gloss against matt tyres, can look a bit weird.

Thats one of the reasons i got silver, it doesnt show the dirt! But the wheels look shitty very quickly with brake dust and they dont have any contrast with the car being the same colour. A guy i work with had Anthracite wheels on his silver Peugeot and it looked good.

Not a Proceed but you get the idea, had my alloys done in anthracite which looked canny. If you can afford powder coating I would recommend you do it that way.

I'm kinda leant towards the DOTS Shuriken or Rapier wheels, 18's look great to me
Although I'm rather taken with the deep offset of the DOTZ Tupac (if not the daft name).

I know we are probably off slightly with talk of alloys when the thread is about a respray - but once you've priced it all up - sometimes alloys aren't a bad purchase.
Mine needed new tyres which at a minimum would have been about 60 - £80 a corner, then add the price of spraying them (cheapest I've hear of is £50 each)

I got my alloys and tyres here for about £500.

Very very helpful team also.

Back to thread - anthracite looks great on that Astra
