Hi Gungho,

Is the Venga bigger inside than the Cee'd?

Today, I was seating in Venga on BG car show. I can say that the car is awesome, have more space for head then in Ceed but on back seats are maybe little less space.
I was impressed with dashboard design and smooth gearbox (much better then in Ceed).
Perfect car for small family.

The Venga is a smaller car than Cee'd probably in the same group as Polo, Corsa. Peugeot 207 that sort of size while Cee'd is in the same group as Astra, Golf. Ford Focus.

If it does not already have its own forum I guess it will soon.

Isn't the Venga based on the same floorplan as the Cee'd though.

Base model of Venga is 30 % more expensive than base model of Proceed where I live.

We probably won't ever get the Venga in AUS [ we get all our models from Korea no European assembly ones ] but it looks like it should do well in Europe. Good link from katekembery. Thanks.

Even though these cars are meant to be in different classes, the Venga, Soul and Ceed all have the same passenger space. When buying the Ceed, I even took a tape measure to the seats and the rear seat and space between the doors is exactly the same on a Ceed SW and a Soul.

Exterior
Ceed - H 1480, L 4260, W 1790
Soul - H 1610, L 4105, W 1785
Venga - H 1610, L 4068, W 1765

Interior
Ceed - Headroom F/R 1020/980, Legroom F/R 1105/900
Soul - Headroom F/R 1020/1005, Legroom F/R 1070/990
Venga - Headroom F/R 1020/980, Legroom F/R 1080/900

The Soul feels larger inside than the Ceed, due to the tall roof and different seating position. Not spent any time in a Venga appart from sitting in one in a showroom.
But as you can see from above, they are all about the same size inside!

The fact is that the space for passengers does not vary very much between cars and there is of course a minimum that is acceptable, this is particularly so of the front and drivers position. Of all three Cee'd is longest probably giving more luggage space and extra styling room. Cee'd has more front legroom so the driver will always be happy and its usually the driver who buys the car. Even something like a Fiat 500 probably has almost the same drivers legroom.
