Default 1.6 CRDI Clutch.

Does anyone know if the 2010 UK models of the Ceed SW with the HP 1.6 CRDI engine have a dual mass flywheel or Diesel particulate filter? If it has a filter what are the implications?

I don't know if the UK models have a particulate filter but if there is one there is no problem if you regularely travel over long distances. However if you always travel short distances the filter won't have the time (and temperature) to clean itself.

Thanks folks, so DPF it is. Anyone know if the 1.6 U2 6 speed crdi has a dual mass flywheel? As the clutch will not be covered by the warranty, (wear and tear), I dont think the flywheel will be covered either.

most diesel's nowadays have DMF's (Dual Mass Flywheel) simply due to the shear torque they produce.

You having problems with your clutch already?

I think the clutch is covered for the 1st 6months of the car

I have not taken delivery yet, (ordered last week), I like to know what oily bits are fitted and how they work. Salesmen are useless, I have a pal in the local dealers parts department though.
