Default Daytime Running Lights

Some models of cee'd (ex. shipped in Switzerland) have this function enabled.
The DRL system seems to turn on the low-beam headlights when you turn on on the engine.
Does anybody know if is possible to enable this function by software or is necessary to upgrade the system with additional electrical components?

-sorry for my bad english...-

If you look in your handbook you should find the information. I understand that you need to remove a fuse to enable DRL. Yes I did say remove. It is in the fuse panel under the end plate of the dashboard by the drivers door and hopefully labelled

Thanks ZTTMAN I've just looked into the manual but there is no fuse in the indicated position. I think the DRL function is not enabled for the italian market.
Other suggestions?

I can't find it in the handbook either. If I have time, I will pull every fuse singularly until I find the right one. Could be a very time consuming excercise though.

You can leave the light switch on the low-beam position.
When you lock the car, lights will switch off after about 30 secs.

I checked the fuse and there is no fuse in the DRL place. Still I have no DRL (not standard in NL).
The dealer told i could leave the switch on and it works fine.

I really don't get why is it so important to have this option. You simply switch on the lights after you start the car, it's not that hard.

I have a reflex developed over the years to turn the lights on in every car I drive, it takes 1,5 seconds to do it. And if I forget about it after leaving the car, no problem. Every car today has some kind of a reminder or switches the lights off by itself (like cee'd).

Relax guys
