Smile Considering Pro Ceed 2 - Advice Needed Please

Hi Guys,

Ive just been and had a look at the new Pro Ceed2 which im seriously considering buying as the dealer was prepared to knock £1200 off a pre-reg model. Before looking at this i had decided on the new Mazda 2 but i would like some advice please

Its a 1.6 Petrol and the Combined MPG states 44mpg which seems excellent for a 1.6 petrol, especially considering the Mazda 2 advertises 47mpg for a 1.3.

Does anyone here have one of these and can you confirm whether this MPG is realistic? I do mainly short trips of under 10 miles a day and maybe get treated to the motorway once a month lol.

My concern really is i don't want to spend out £11,000 on this and only realistically get 36mpg or something, which seems more realistic for a 1.6 particulary with how expensive fuel is here in Surrey.

Also, on average how much would you say it costs to fill up a tank from near empty or rather how many litres does it take?

Many thanks in advance

Really? The new one? I loved it! For a small engine it doesn't feel like it or atleast i didn't think so. Im not test driving the Ceed for another 10 days as i go on holiday on Sunday but its cheaper than the Mazda because i wanted the sport version. I just really need to know whether these MPG figures are realistic because it just seems too good to be true for a 1.6 petrol engine

Really? Thats good to know, thank you

Do you mind me asking you how many litres it takes to fill up the tank? I can't seem to find the capacity on the spec sheet

I have pro_ceed 1.6 petrol, my average fuel consumption after 9500km is 7.5l/100km,
that is 37.7 miles per gallon (mpg).
When tank is empty I fill it up from 45 to 48l.

Have you tried out the 1.6 diesel engine? I've got a Ceed SW with this engine and it is brilliant to drive. Not much slower 0 - 60 but I would guess it is faster 30 - 70 and after 6000 miles, I am now getting 60 mph plus without driving too carefully.
