Well, I took my Cee'd to Vehvac at Edenbridge, Kent, and they made a very good job of fitting the cruise control - all for £445 inc VAT and fitting. It even has two memory settings - to me, it looks as if it came factory-fitted!

Looks good.
Now for a few questions.................
Does it work OK? and does the steering wheel get in the way?
Works great, at least as good as any other C/C I've used on other cars, plus having 30 and 70 stored on it makes life even easier. It's made by the company that seems to make them all but I don't know their name. Ask to see the product before they fix it. Vehvac apparently fit Kia c/c (not surprising, as the two companies are near each other).

I'd really be interested to know the make with the intention of buying and DIY.
PS. I'll be back on that side of the pond on 16 Aug. and if it's a make that's available in the US I'd look at buying here as we all know about the price difference between the two places.

I bought a brand new "08" reg Cee'd LS 1.6 CRDI Hatchback in march this year and it came with cruise control as standard?? Buttons on the right hand side of the sterring wheel, just like the SW version. Yet the dealership said it won't be connected, but it works fine??? But it's not fitted on my "57" reg Cee'd LS 1.6 CRDI, DOOH!!!! And how annoying is it with the indicator switch on the RIGHT on the "57" version.
