I think if you test drove 1, you might become a boy racer, with all those added luxeries
If you where to put all those extras into a higher spec "VX" say, you would be talking 2k easy, so grate value.

KIA's are great value allround... thats why I bought one.

Personally I think that a great value car and street cred...don't generally go together. Thats why I think all the added extra's to sport up a Ceed are defeating the object really.

I dont know what the selling ratio is of the 1.6 to the 2.0 is, but I cant remember seeing any other uk 2.0 board member on here... which must be saying something to you?

I think most ESP etc systems are hype anyway... how many times have you written a car off by not having one..... me personally...never.

Ive been driving with ABS cars for 5 years and never needed that either. And believe me I don't hang around

Its them other idiots on the road who are likely to do you more damage.

ABS and ESP are really helpful when there is water, snow and ice on the road. You don't get that as much in UK but I can assure you that you cannot bring the car to a halt on a shorter distance without ABS. Have you tried breaking with and without ABS on a wet or icy road from 100km/h ?

I have had a pro_ceed sport for two weeks, only done 1500miles so far reasonably happy with it and yes extra spec is good and I am an old boy racer lol
Bought it for a general run around work vehicle, far from quick but that really depends on what you are used too.
Hate the std wheels so they have gone, replaced with some aftermarket alloys.Lowering springs to be fitted on Monday.
Will be interesting to see how it handles not too worried about speed been there done that.
Generally for the price I am impressed with it.

The Sport comes with 1.6 and 2.0 liter engines here in Italy. Same accessories except from the Anti-particles filter which is an option for the 1.6 liter and costs 690€ .
Difference in price between the 1.6 and 2.0 is 2000€. If you take the 690 for the filter it comes up to 1300 € which, for the 25hp difference is worth paying...
