Default Boot & Glass???

.....what a wierd design. Only noticed it when I was cleaning the car last as it held water in the gap making the drying process a bit of a pain in `that area`.
Never seen a setup like that before - with no visable weather seal, Kia must of had a reason other than it does look quite good, just holds dirt in my eyes.

Hope you know what I`m talking about as I do tend to waffle,

are you talking about "out" or "in" side of the boot?

Sorry, outside the boot, the way the window seems to sit (float) on the boot.

sorry, I just saw you have pro_cee'd. cee'd is rare in croatia, and pro_cee'd even more, so I would have to go to the dealer's to check it out.

can't help you, but I must say that cee'd is the easiest car to wash I ever had, dries fast and no awkward places difficult to clean.

The Mk1 Skoda Octavia has the same arrangement and on that the water runs into the boot when the hatch is opened. Luckily the cee'd doesn't duffer from the same design flaw.

That`s the only drawback with the design - the cleaning. As you said, the rest of the car`s a dream to clean (oh the fogs on the front are fiddly too)!!! - on a moan mission tonight sorry. (the joys of being quiet on a night shift)
Not important just wondered what other owners thought. Looks like you could grab behind the glass and pull it away from the car....strange!!!
