Bought mine used with 6k on the clock, put in about half a litre up to the first service. Car now has just over 15k on the clock and not used any oil at all in the last 3k+ since service.

I'm sure it will, but you don't really want to find out.

don't remember seeing a low oil level warning in the manual, only low pressure...they go hand in hand but it might be too late

Exactly and no substitute for a weekly check

Mine has almost 6000Km, and it is about 2mm from the "F". It's always been like this!
I check the oil level every 1000Km.
When you check it don't forget to do it on the morning or about 1h after stopping!
when I did my 3000Km check I drove the car to the back of my building, when I checked the oil level it had dropped to almost half! Let the oil settle, about an hour latter double checked it and it was on the same level as it always had been!
