Finnish car magazine almost flipped over the Ceed SW in a slalom test. They concluded that the pressure recommendations are too low for fully loaded car. ESP could not keep the car on track. Under normal load the car behaved well with recommended pressure 2.2 in all tires.
In response KIA has acknowledged the problem and now the recommended inflation for fully loaded car is 2.4 for front and 2.9 for rear tires.
They are saying that KMC's R&D has done the tests during the summer of 2006 and came up with the rectified numbers, but, for some reason the Zilina factory was not informed and all the technical papers were not updated.
Quite a serious mistake...
