Default Dashboard material...

... does anyone know what is made from.
It`s spongy to touch, and with the lines in it, looks great, but...
...unsure if to just damp wash it down should it get too dusty/dirty, which won`t be far off now
(take it all Cee`d models are the same).

Sorry if this seems a wierd question, first New car, love it to bits and want to take proper care of this one.

I use this on mine:

Elite Car Care - Poorboy's Natural Look Dressing - 16oz

Just apply it with a microfibre applicator.

Smells fantastic too

I have no idea of what it's made of but have asked myself the same question. I have found that standard interior cleaner works ok.

Whatever it is it completely defeats the suction cup on my
Nuvi GPS unit.
I had to use double sided tape to attach it.

Hi people,

did any one noticed a small bulbs in the dashboard cover - vinily. It lookes like the soft cover is detaching - ungluing from the dashboard. You have to look very carefully and it also depends on the degre of light strenghtness. I hope you do understand what i mean.

On the portuguese Cee'd forum I've seen a user complaining about the same thing! No problem on mine though..

Have noticed this on mine, to the top of the dash just by the windscreen and above the central binnacle. Looks like about 4 raised patches just about 5mm across where the covering material is parting company from the dash itself, or so it would appear. Mines been like it since I bought it, it's hardly visible and not got any worse.

Only time will tell............................
