Hi to all,
I bought my Ceed SW on September (among the first ones in Slovenia) and the car is suffering for the same problem as valen46 describes, from the days when morning temperatures were below approximately 5 degrees. First I thaught that the inner plastic mudguard is rubbing to the outer mudguard (the scratchy noise is coming from front and rear) but now is obviously that the noise is coming from schockers and that is (for example) when I drive over the "lieing cops" (as we are saying in our country).
I also noticed that in rainy weather the sounds are not so intense (sometimes almost completely gone).
I will visit the service next week and then I`ll report again.
Until then bye, bye
I have a Picanto, this too after 2000 mile developed a rubbery squeak from the rear shock absorbers after the vehicle had been sat for at least a couple of hours. If you pushed down on the rear of the car the rubbery sqeak would go after 2 -3 pushes. I sprayed WD-40 on suspension and up rear shock absorbers protective sleeves. The sound has gone for now. This rubbery squeak is worst in wet weather.
Hello friends, my name is Rober and I live in Spain, I have a Cee'd Sw with 3700 kms and since 3000 Kms more or less my car is making a noise in the suspension when I drive trough a (I don't know the word in english , thats things that are in the citys to avoid the high speed, pot hole perhaps?) . The noise is like a cricket, a chirping, and it's more intensive when the weather is cold (between 0-10ēC). Does anybody know something about this? Thanks and sorry for my English
Yes, speed hump is the word I was looking for.
Returning to the topic, Kia has changed my front shock absorbers in guarantee but I think that the noise still exist , but I'll wait until the next winter to probe them.

I got my cee'd this week... already 300km in 2 days lol! till now I can't really hear any abnormal noises as such... and I hope I don't in the future either.
P.S. here in Malta we have very bumpy roads, and it's a very good place where to test your shocks and suspensions!!
the suspension is very firm so it's noisy on bumpy roads and that can't be helped.
I don't know if I could define what it does as noise or not.. I still have to decide lol cos I've only been driving it for 2 days. However, on bumpy surfaces you hear a thud. I guess it's normal.
Although I have to admit that when I had test driven a Skoda Fabia it felt a bit more comfortable and there weren't any thuds when it came to bumpy surfaces.
The noise it's not caused because the suspension is very firm. I love the suspension but, in cold weather I heard a chirping, like something wasn't well lubricated. It's the same noise that an old bed makes

Lol.. ok I know what you mean. Till now mine hasn't squeaked/screeched... just a soft/dull thud...
However I might have to point out that the average MPG on my car is appearing to be 30.5mpg - 31.0mpg... it's 1.4 petrol. I hope it's because the car is still new and hasn't yet had time to set in. I've also noticed that below 3000 rpm the engine doesn't respond very well.. but again I hope it's because it still hasn't set it yet. My driving is 100% city - we don't have any high ways here in Malta. Longest stretch of straight road might be 1km perhaps
