To get a audio version
- press SETUP+4 (3-5 sec.) before appearance of squeak
- press SCAN+1
If all did right, the version must light up on magnitole.
If version of С3.14 or С3.15, magnitola can be to change on a guarantee.
There is no warranty exchange for Ceed radios according to their version number in the UK i do not about other markets, there is only the exchange program if you have one or more of the following faults.
1:Audio system freezes when a CD is inserted or ejected.
2:USB connection inoperative.
3:Unable to switch audio off or audio comes on whilst vehicle is unoccupied and drains battery.
Alex’ method to display the version of the radio works only on older models. On newer ones you can try this:
- Turn on the ignition.
- Turn the radio on.
- While in FM mode press and hold „SETUP” and „5” together for cca. 10 seconds.
- „ENABLE DIAG” will be shown on the screen.
- Press “SCAN” and “1” together.
- Software version will be shown on the screen.
- Press “SETUP” and “5” together to leave diagnostic mode.
…and I can confirm what Alex wrote: my radio with software version 3.14 was replaced be the dealer. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
anyway, my car is from september 2007 and I did not have any audio problems, yet. knock on wood
