Smile Hello from a new owner

Just thought I'd say hello to everyone as I've been a member for a couple of weeks now.

Picked up my second hand CRDi LS last Sunday and having now put over 200 miles on it I must say I'm well impressed.

I bought it to replace a much loved Skoda Octavia vRS which was crippling me financially and I'm pleased to report that the cee'd is nearly halving my fuel costs (I don't even want to talk about tyres or servicing).

I've also received a £97 rebate from my insurer and (when it arrives) a car tax rebate that will allow me to tax it for another year!

From somebody who does around 20K miles per annum it makes perfect sense and my only criticism of it is that it cant chase motor bikes like the Octy :-)

Mine was to replace a 3.2 MKII TT which was costing over £50 a week in fuel. Perfect sense, if not quite the same road poise. Obviously, I've kept the TT for weekend use

If only my financial situation would have allowed me to do the same

I just ordered my SW (LS) and am trading in my Jag 3.0 X-Type so quite a change.

This makes a huge difference to my motoring costs, on paper at least. So I hope to see something similar to Bunker.

It is some time since I was able to enjoy the “open road” in the Jag, hence my shift to a vehicle that I feel more suits today’s motoring environment.
