Default tyre pressures

Just checked the tyres for the first time in the six weeks had it.

Yeah, yeah - should have done it before now - but trapped nerve in the back meant I couldn't - so no BLAME - right! (p.s. this car is good if you have a back prob. Wide opening door; low sill; high seat.)

Anyway - front right was 35!!! Pressure is supposed to be 32 on 205 15" wheels. So to be 35 after 6 weeks.

Blimey.

DEALER!!!!

Just filled up tonight and noticed my right rear looked flat. Checked and it was 11! so will check for a nail in daylight.

Checking the others, two were at 32 but I too had a front at 35. Is it a problem? I might try a few psi higher all round and see if fuel consumption improves

I usually run my fronts 2-4 PSI higher than the rears. Been doing this for 20+ years and have seen more even tire wear with this tactic. This of course is only applicable for vehicles where the front has a higher % of weight distribution than the rear, which most cars now have.

In most cars that's the way to go!

But you should re-consider if:
- you will have your car loaded
- you have a RWD car
- you are experiencing understeer
