Default Factory Order

Hi All
Ordered a SW with optional ESP during the first week of September, 4-6 week delivery time. Then it became 6/8 weeks. Just been told that it is now 12 weeks!!
Apprently Kia stopped building none standard vehicles for a month? I see on a German Kia website, they are having the same problem.

When I bought mine I was looking for a specific colour and the dealer pulled out a list of dozens of cars, actually it was on a website and we found various options that listed vehicles as 'free' (if only!) and chose from there, knowing it would be available in 3 days maximum.

Hi All
There are plenty of SW CRDI Ls vehicles available in the UK, there two at my local dealership. BUT none with ESP.
If I had not seen ESP in "action" and at only £350, I would not have been bothered.
Anyway, I have now been referred to Kia customer services by the dealership to get a postive delivery date. Watch this space.

We got our Cee´d SW CRDI 1,6 with ESP and lots more in 6 weeks, exactly at the day they said it would arrive. This was in sweden, ESP is standard here.

Rusty, haggle over the ESP. I bet you could get it thrown in for nothing, I got both ESP and metallic paint that way.

Wow - I got nothing out of the dealer. He made out that the diesel for petrol offer made the margins too tight. Mind you I did have a trade in car. Did you?

Got an annoying rattle in the passenger door (crdi sw) - like a screw loose. I wonder if the warranty covers the cost of removing the panel to check it out!?

Er, the diesel for petrol offer is nothing to do with the franchised dealer you bought your car from and the cost is mainly absorbed by Kia. Your stealer was taking the proverbial! The stealer will always sit there and slowly calculate the full list cost on their big calculator, and then apply the manufacturer's discount as if they've offered it themselves to try and make that the end of the negotiation. But really, you should see that as the starting point and be prepared to show that you'll walk away if need be. Put in a sensible counter offer and the stealer will always look to meet you in the middle if you appear friendly but prepared to walk away.

As for the rattle. That's covered by the after sales service. I have a slight rattle coming from the panel by the driver's sun visor so I'll be back to get that seen to. A bit of felt should sort it.

I didn't trade anything in, no.
As far as the rattle is concerned, the problem is the rattle, what they have to do to rectify it has no effect - they fix the rattle, period!

Cheers for the advice.

Will be more forceful with the stealer to sort out the rattle.
