Default How do you skip between albums on iPod?

Picked up my SW on friday and everything has been spot on so far. However, I can't seem to skip from album to album on my iPod. The MP3 USB interface allows you to skip track or skip to another folder, but not for an iPod.

Am I missing something?

In the short time I played with mine on way home tonight I'm sure the r/h big turny knob thing did the albums, the seek on the steering wheel did the track changes, as did the l and r arrows on the hu itself.

My right hand turny knob just changes track, which is what it says in the instruction manual too.

There's a manual???
Oh, you mean that thing full of yellow warnings and 'optional, if fitted' kind of statements!
Something I was twiddling was happily changing between albums but at the time I was too focussed on the stupid 4 random character display. I'm sure the iPod was behaving the same as various memory sticks but maybe I missed a subtle difference.

The random 4 character display is probably due to the settings being set to view the folder name as Apple generate random folders to make moving music to your iPod a one way (non piracy) event. I think this was already mentioned earlier in the thread though.

OK, played a bit and yep got the weird 4 digit names and I have to agree it seems impossible to select an album and then stepo through the tracks one by one. Not being able to choose an album is bad enough let alone not being able to play that album in it's entirety. I'm wondering why I even bothered makeing the fuss I did to get the stupid thing!
Seeing as how it behaves with an ordinary memory stick (pretty well really). Does anyone know if you set the iPod to 'Disk mode' if it then behaves like a memory stick? (i.e. properly)... anyone?

(I can't check right now, wife has car)

You can get rid of the random 4 digit folder name display by going to settings and changing the display to track name. Also, you can change the sort order to Album and then listen to a whole album as you'd expect. However, you're still stuck scrolling through the whole album to get to the start of the next one and have no idea what track number on the album you are on.

Rather than just whingeing about it on here, why don't we all get on to Kia UK and tell them there is a fault with the iPod software as it is clearly totally usable.

The previous/next station buttons |<< and >>| skip tracks only for me as stated in the manual. This does the same as rotation the right side know.. Pressing < or > allows you to sort by Album, Artist, or Track titles and pressing the right knob confirms. Absolutely no way to skip between albums though.

Is your Cee'd fully iPod compatible? i.e. was it manaufactured after May 2007 and says iPod where you connect it?
