I have a problem with my Cee'd 1.6 CRDI LS & wondered if anybody else has the same?
My drivers seat has no height adjustment, no lever, no hole - in fact no nothing to raise & lower the seat. This should be a standard feature on all models I believe.
It looks like I have a lefthand drive passenger seat fitted in place of my RHD drivers seat.
I have been waiting for three months now for a replacement seat, many calls to my dealer & Kia customer services - all I get is that it is on backorder, but no indication of a delivery date.

Do you have a similar problem??
What about the steering wheel being on the wrong side? And you are worried about the seat

Are you suggesting that the problem isn't with the seat being a passenger seat but that the seats are fine and he's actually got a steering wheel position problem?? Would it be better for his dealer to order the l/h steering wheel position and keep the correctly fitted passenger seat??
tedwards, you need to relay this significant info to your dealer - he needs the correct info to be able to resolve your problem!!

I wonder how the indicator stalk will work out?
Alas, if life was that simple,
If the dealer swaps my steering wheel to the otherside, then my passenger seat becomes my drivers seat - but that ain't got any height adjustment either - so I'm no better off plus I can't see to overtake with the wheel on the wrong side - a real no win situation.
Man.. what you are talking about is ridiculous!
Didn't you guys understand that Narvo was being ironic?
Do you at least have any idea what it is required to swap the wheel side?
tedwards,
pressure your dealer, you have a faulty seat! Like you've said, it's probably from a left hand side vehicle.
Freakzoide, The British sense of humour takes some understanding, and I guess the Canadians have inherited some of it.
Never mind , soon it will be compulsory within the EU, so take note!
OK, now we have got all the banter out of the way, has anybody else had/ got this problem or am I the only person in the whole of the UK with a duff seat.
Just trying to gather ammo to go back to Kia with.
Sorry guys, just having some fun. As you guys know, we Canadians drive on the left side. The seat in my future 2008 Kia Rondo does have a height adjustment. Hope you find a solution to your problem soon.
Just recontact your dealer, inform them, possibly in writing also, that they have sold you 'non specified equipment' insist that it is rectified or replaced within 7 day's. You have been waiting 'three months' if they haven't received one in that time they are 'fobbing you off'.
If they don't appear to be helpful then inform them that you will 'have a seat out of one of their display vehicles' this will create double the work for them, but you have paid for a decent vehicle, you should have 'all the correct parts'.
Also ask them if something like this was not picked up on the PDI, what else has been missed?
I hope this doesn't turn out to be a 'built on a Friday car' for you.
