Went for a test drive in a standard shape Cee'd LS diesel and really liked it....... except I kept indicating with the windscreen wipers! All other cars in the UK have indicators on left so why not Kia (and Hyundai)?
So anyway, it annoyed me that much I was considering not bothering with a Cee'd until I read on the internet how so many UK customers complained that Kia decided to change things around. Great I thought, I'll not take the one from the dealer and place an order and wait 3 weeks. So imagine my shock when I went to pick it up and it was exactly the same as the one I could have taken straight from the dealer!

It seems the salesman forgot to explicitly specify I wanted the new style.
So if anyone is interested, I spoke to to Kia UK who said the LS diesel only started production with them on the left from 1st October and there is plenty of old stock in the system (still full iPod though) that nothing is being imported yet. If you explicitly want indicators on the left you have to specify it on the order form and place a factory order which takes 6-8 weeks. There are already some SRs and maybe GSs in the system but definitely no LS diesels yet.
So what did I do? Well, obviously I upgraded to an SW which were all built that way from day one and I only have to wait a further two weeks. £700 with (currently) cruise and parking sensors as standard factory fit? A no brainer really
Sorry for the long rant, but I hope someone finds this info useful. Despite my experiences, I'm still really looking forward
Mark.
