Default Approved Kia Body Shops?

Hi all,

I have had my Ceed for about three months and take great care of it until last Saturday when a passing wagon flicked up a rock and dented the roof

I have contacted my insurers and obviously it will cost me the excess and increased premium next year if I use their services to get it repaired, which I am not sure about at the moment?

So I thought I would get some quotes for myself first, the problem is Kia do not seem to have any approved repairers?

How do I choose the right body shop to get the repairs done and keep the bodywork warranty valid?

Any suggestions?

Best regards,

Haze..

Have you asked this exact question of Kia themselves? I know I'd ask just that from my selling dealer should the problem arise

Hi Tim,

I have asked the dealer and they do not have a network of Kia approved bodyshops and have advised me to just use an "approved" bodyshop and could offer no more explanation than that!

This is my problem, does anybody know what the bodyshops have to be a member of to fall into the "approved" category?

Regards,

Haze....

Choose wisely. When my factory ground effects came in KIA told me they didnt have their own body shop, so I would have to go else where to have them painted and installed. They did however recommand me to one that they use to have spoilers put on and such. Just be sure to check the body shop out. The one KIA sent me to, well the manager of the body shop ended up stealing my car and scratching it up. Point is make sure KIA will command you a body shop and check them out.

How about asking the insurance company - I realise that this may alert them to the fact that you've damaged the car but it might be a start? - Do you have another Kia dealer in the area who might have a body shop?
