Default One of the 100 winners

Hi all

I'm one of the lucky winners of the 100 cee'ds offered after the 3 day test drive. I took delivery in August, a 1.6 LS with ESP, and one of the new batch with Ipod integration and stalks on the "right" side !

I'm reading all your comments with interest, as part of the deal is I feed back my impressions of the Cee'd to Kia.

So far all good, the orange ambience can be dimmed down on the LS, I'm getting about 40-42 MPG out of a 1.6 petrol (which is nice!) and overall I'm impressed.

Slight vibration at between 2500 and 3000 rpm, which can equate to 60mph in 5th gear, hopefully will go away. Needs a six speed box though.

Dealer not too hot, PDI useless.... more on that later !

Hi soggydog, I take it you have got the Ceed for 1 year, not bad eh.
My car has just gone back to the dealer for the third time to deal with a fault which I think should have been found on the PDI (Air con problem) before being delivered to the customer. So I would be interested to hear what your PDI probs were. Happy driving.

Congratulations soggydog. I too took the 3 day test drive, but only in mid-Sept. Does anyone know if the drawer for the last batch of cars is done?

Well done. I've just got an LS and the dashboard has the button TRIP (for the computer) instead of MODE as the manual states. However, on the steering wheel I have a Mode button (Mode / CH actually - next to Volume up/down) but pressing Mode on the steering wheel does nothing. I thought it might change the TRIP computer but not. Is it the same setup on your car? Trip on dashboard, Mode on wheel?

My LS has the 'Trip' on the dash, which scrolls through the menu and 'Mode' on the steering wheel which changes from 'Radio' to 'CD (if one is in) to USB (if connected).

I haven't looked to see what the manual says about it though.

Many thanks... I haven't had a CD in or a USB device attached so no wonder I got no response. I just thought seeing MODE in the manual where the TRIP button is on the LS that the wheel button might have operated it. But I see why know. It's an excellent car. Do you get it for 1 year or have you won it outright?

I wish.......

I bought mine, but I am very pleased with it. If I had known that the SW was coming out I might have tried to delay the purchase, but I didn't really have much choice as the vehicle I had was going to cost quite a bit to 'sort out'.

Oh, I thought when you said one of the lucky 100, it meant you had been given one.
