When a car uses H7 bulbs it usually uses on medium and maximum (You call it low/high beam ).
I would use normal halogen bulbs on the highbeam... In my opinion there is no need for a Xenon kit for it!

Here in Portugal we can buy Xenon kits for 125-170€ it depends on the brand you choose!

Im used to having lots of light on the road, it gets dark here in the north..

If im not adding Xenon, My second choise is to add more lights, many of our cars up here have added 3x100W lights.

and some take itto the extreme :

But you get my point?

That looks really bad!

Xenon has got much more "illumination" power than a 100w halogen bulb!

Be careful what kit you buy - the Ceed has an h7 low beam and an H1 high beam. I had a Loooong chat with Kia UK about this as the bulbs are difficult to get too. You need to take the battery out to access right low beam and the screen washer reservoir on the left.
Not sure where you would mount the ballast required for a HID kit... but if you must the £70.00 HIDs on Ebay are the same make as the £240.00 on the high street. I would reccomend the Phillips xtreme bulbs, or the new Osram Nightbreakers, as they draw the same current as OE and fit without any mods. Lots better....

I'm amazed this is legal (it's not only the cee'd by any means either). How are you supposed to replace a bulb at the roadside should one fail when you're out and a copper stops you? What about on the continent where some local laws say you need to carry spare bulbs - fat lot of good that is if it's dark and you've gotta remove the battery. Can't imagine the washer bottle is plug ' n pray either!!

Thanks for the best answere so far! Ill get H1 50W then. if it doesnt work out ill put them in my other car that uses H1 aswell.

I have pictures of a Cee´d with xenon in the low beam, looks quite easy to do. Removing the battery is not what icall a big problem, a few hours in the garage i guess.

I agree that removing the battery shouldn't be difficult but it's hardly a roadside job is it!
Doesn't the alarm go off when you disconnect it?
