Default Seat belt warning lights

I hope I am not being too picky here but can someone check if my car is behaving normally, let me explain.
The front seat belt lights behave as per the manual, no problem.
The 3 rear ones glow red (green if the belt is connected) when the ignition is switched on and when the car reaches the desired speed after a further 35 secs the lights go out, as per the handbook so far. But then if say the car stops at a road junction or traffic lights(engine still running) as soon as the car starts moving again the lights come on again and go through the timed sequence before going off. Is this normal?

HI,

I must admit that I haven't noticed mine do that, once the lights go off they seem to stay off unless I stop the engine then drive away again (after a restart of course).

I will go out and check it later to confirm.

I have noticed that the 3 red light sometimes is on during my way back from work. There are a couple of traffic lights so this could explain why...

Thanks all. Seems a strange way of doing it, but at least I am "normal", well as far as the car is concerned

I have managed to check mine and the lights do not come back on. I have tried with people in different positions in the back and everything seems ok. the lights show red or green, then after the 'settle' period they go off and stay off unless I stop the engine then the system restarts.

Sorry for the delay in this post.

Oh dear Alarmin, you have complicated matters now. Your car seems to work the way I think it should.
Anybody else like to check to confirm one way or the other.

my rear s/b lights come back on sometimes, after a brief stop with engine running, e.g traffic lights etc. i havent worked out a pattern yet, but it would be interesting to know exactly how the system works, what sensors it uses etc.
