Default Picked up my New Ceed SW Today

Hi All
Finally took delivery of my Ceed SW 1.6CRDI LS today
I took the 3 day test drive in the hatchback a couple of months back but decided the boot just wasnt big enough so waited for the launch of the SW.
The SW costs an extra £700 more than the Hatch however the top of the range LS comes with Rear parking sensors and cruise control as standard.
On collection of my Car today I confirmed the service intervals on the diesel and was told it is 12500 miles or 1 year I was also told to my surprise that the battery and exhaust are both covered by the 7 year warranty.
If anyone has any questions reference the new Ceed SW by all means post on this thread and I will try and answer if I can.

Congrats on the new SW, there was no mention of it when I got my Cee'd, but then again, I wasn't in a position to wait for a few months.

Happy driving.....

Hi All
Joined the forum a few weeks ago. I've got a Cee'd 1.6crdi SW on factory order [4-6 weeks delivery]. Wanted "ESP" fitting as extra, also wanted it in "English Pewter"colour. Have already test driven a SW with the Wife [very important!] and we were very impressed.

Default First time buyer ?

Hi Kimi
Yes I am a first time buyer to Kia , over the years I have never stuck to one manafacturer and have had Fords(to tinny for me) Vauxhalls(Loved my old Astra SR sold to buy first house and later owned a Nova 1.2 before getting a Nova 1.3SR all very reliable) Citroens (had the suspension go on both the ones I owned an old BX and a Xantia) Nissan Primera(great car apart from the depreciation levels but now Nissan part owned by French reliability is not so assured not with my luck with french cars anyway, my local Nissan dealer also told my wife to keep hold of her 2001 Micra(service managers words "they are bullet proof") unlike the new ones that have numerous problems.

This time round my decision was very much between the Skoda Octavia and the Kia Ceed and guess what it was the 7 year Warranty that clinched the deal.

Hi All
Yes this my first Kia, to be honest never considered a Cee'd, till I test drove a Peugeot 207 SW. This car was very "diesel noisy" and on the motorway the wind noise was pretty bad. ALSO....

I would like to know, if the area where the space saver wheel is, could take a 15" steel spare? You need 21cm depth for the steel wheel to fit. My reason for asking; the space saver can only be used for 30 miles at 50mph. Then it must have a new tyre fitted. More importantly, a space saver wheel, must not be fitted on the front wheels, because it affects the safety of the steering! i.e. if you get a front flat, you must swap a good wheel from the rear to the front and fit the space saver on the rear!!!!!! I only found this out through another car forum. Thanks for any replies. Rusty.
