Default Cee'd NCAP ????????????

Anyone know why the Cee'd has not gone through the NCAP test yet or when it is due to undergo it?

Over the past months i have been checking their site regulary but no test is available yet.
I have sent them two mails asking when we can expect the test results, the second time mentioning to thme that they have already tested the new Skoda Fabia, but not the Cee'd which has been on the market for a long time now.

The people there do not think it worthwhile to reply, because i get no response.

This makes me wonder if they are as serious as they claim to be.....

After reading Dutchellene's post, I thought it would be a good idea to contact Euro NCAP and enquire about the Cee'd also.

Perhaps if they get 'a few enquiries' they might just do the test sooner rather than later.

I suppose if they are 'flooded' with requests they wont be able to do the job they are supposed to do.......

So how do ye reckon the Cee'd would do in the test? I would say 4 stars as they are bound to find something to complain about!!

Read somewhere they were expecting to get 5 but like you say there's bound to be something they can find wrong.

Perhaps we should lobby Kia to get it tested as its not all down to the EuroNCAP people, read this from the NCAP site:

Quote:
Who funds the crashed car models used in Euro NCAP’s tests?
Each member of Euro NCAP pays to have at least one car model tested each year. Car manufacturers can also request that their car is tested. In such circumstances, they pay for the testing. However, they have no control over the publishing of the results. Euro NCAP obtains the cars in a number of ways. In each case, care is taken to ensure that the cars are built to normal production standards. It is clearly important to ensure that we do not test cars which are specially prepared for us. Normally, the cars are paid for by the sponsor of the tests.
Following from this if you look up KIA on the NCAP site, they have already used up their one test for this year, the Carens.

So should we perhaps lobby Kia to stump up to have the cee'd tested?

mmm, I think I will!
