Default Kia Cee'd 2.0 Crdi VGT

Hi everybody, is anybody having an experience with Kia Cee'd and 2.0 Crdi VGT engine? It is available only from beginning of July, but maybe somebody has been already driving this car.
Please give me some comments to your feeling...Is it noisy? Powerful enough ?
Or if somebody has been using this engine in different Kia car, tell us also your experience.
I should have Kia Cee'd with this engine in 1-2 month, but I am curious to hear your opinion....
Thanks a lot.

Yes, I drove one at the begining of the year. A little heavier than the 1.6-litre CRDi and so not as nimble (in my opinion) but it has much more pull and greater opportunity for development. Chip tuning is the way forwards on this engine.
At the moment, the 1.6-litre CRDi I have is under 2000km and is still tlight. I have another cee'd running around 11,000km and is more powerful, easier to rev and pulls harder. You can also chip-tune the 1.6 to get 140PS. I'd go for 130PS though.

Oh, you made me little bit unhappy...I already ordered 2.0 engine...I was expecting, that such a little casr with this engine will be very powerfull...

Was it at least quite, not noisy?
How many PS I can get I can get out of this engine, when tuning it?

Don't worry - the 2.0-litre CRDi is a great engine and it will really move. You won't be unhappy withe the car.
Very quiet and smooth, quite advanced engine.
Not heard of much tuning for that engine just yet, but if you can get 24PS from chip-tuning the 1.6, I should think an extra 25 per cent more PS is easy. You could go for a more efficient intercooler too, but that cuold be expensive for the relative gain - maybe about 5 per cent.

Uf, thank you very much for this positive info. I am looking forward this car. As soon as I have it, I will let all the other know the first experience.
And it is good, that I can tune it really up to very nice power...))

Happy to help!
Expect the three door cee'd to come with the 2.0-litre from the factory very early in it's life cycle. Should be very energetic! Go for the 17in wheel options as they have stiffer suspension.

Guys, i have question about this chiptuning thing.
In my opinion it will cancel the warranty given by KIA
because you will be changing the particulars and the use of the engine.

So how do you anticipate that situation, remove the chip before going for service, or something like that?

There may be a 'stealth' chip device available - have seem 'em for other cars out there (particularly VAG ones) but yes, I'm sure it would void any engine related warranty claims for ever on a vehicle. For me that would defeat the whole object of getting the car.
