Keyless entry receiver

I have a 2005 Sedona 2.9 CDRI

I bought it second hand and it had a key but no fobs for remote locking.
As I thought all sedonas had remote locking as standard I bought a replacement fob and tried following the reprogramming guide all to no avail.
I thought there may be a problem with the receiver so I found out where it should be and it seems mine doesn't have one.

My question is will my car work if I just buy one and plug one in, ie does it have the capability as standard? Secondly I know it is meant to be located behind the glovebox. I just dont know where its plugged in. Anyone know? maybe someone could upload a photo of theirs (a picture paints a thousend words)

I've got some circuit diagrams that may be of help (I've found they are not an exact match to mine, so take with the proverbial grain of salt).

See the first page of the attached pdf of the relevant section - this shows the receiver connector as labelled 'I-11' and having a 6 pin body in the configuration shown on the connector outline for I-11 on the bottom of that page. The 2nd page shows that it should indeed be behind the glovebox.

If there's an I-11 connector there I'd say it has the inherent capability. (I assume it has door lock motors!).
