I have a 2005 Sedona EX with 80,000 miles. Friday it started giving my wife problems. It would sputter and sometimes stall out. I took it to Advanced Auto and they read the codes. The codes were P0343 and P0305. P0343 is camshaft position sensor high input. I replaced the cam shaft position sensor. I figured the misfire was a related problem.
Now the van runs worse than before. It sputters and stalls a lot. I took it back to Advanced Auto to have the codes read. Now the codes are P0342 and P0300 through P0306, misfire on every cylinder. P0342 is cam shaft position sensor low input.
Did I do something wrong installing the new sensor? I just unbolted the old and bolted on the new. Is there a specified clearance between the sensor and back of the gear? I didn't see any shims when I took off the old and the new one didn't come with shims. I tried searching and can't find any info as far as clearances.
I don't have a scan tool. Any suggestions before I take it to the mechanic? The timing belt looks good. I know it is past time to change it but that ins't in the cards at this time.
