Reversing Light Switch location please??
I have an '06 Kia Sedona (2.9 Desil "SE+") Into which I have just fitted
a new stereo (Eonon 1011 from Ebay). So far, i'm seriously delighted with it.
I additionally bought a reversing camera to fit somewhere on the tailgate,
I'll take a better look at that tomorrow (in daylight!!)
What I cannot fathom, is where to take a DC feed from the switch that controls the reversing lights so that as soon as I put the car into reverse, the Eonon's input switches to the camera.
As the gearstick is up on the dash, I assume the switch must be down at floor level somewhere but damned if I could see it , even with a 300w floodlight glaring down into the innards of the dash!! is it inside ? or out (I have access to an inspection pit if I need it )
Whilst I could run a wire all the way down the back of the car to the light cluster or tow hitch electrics, that seems to be the least effective way of doing it - although I have to run a video wire all the way back up so I guess its not going to make that much difference overall....??
Grateful for some wiring wisdom
Many thanks in advance
