Default Battery flat - now ETACS DEAD :-(

Well, of course with the sedona it couldn't be as simple as re-charging the battery and all being well! The battery is charged, but now the ETACS seems dead:

No sidelights
No taillights
No warning buzzer
No alarm
No central locking
No power windows

Questions:

Is there any way to resurrect a dead ETACs back into life?
If not - what's the likely prognosis and cost for this to be fixed?

Cheers

Nick

Tried pulling fuses, leaving battery disconnected for an hour and no joy - was still completely dead. In the end this is what I did:

Disconnected battery
Left battery disconnected and charging for 12+ hours
Turned ignition key to the first (accessory) position)
Took off battery charger
Reconnected battery

And amazingly all sprang back into life!

Fingers crossed it stays that way :-)

Unbelievably, I've just run the battery flat AGAIN (by leaving the rear dome lights on AGAIN doh)! And unbelievably when I put on my spare (fully recharged) battery, ETACS systems were once again completely dead.

Tried leaving it disconnected for an hour and connected it all back up and ETACS still dead. But then I found what it was. I think the accessory socket (cigarette lighter) is maybe controlled by ETACS and I have a splitter plugged in here that gives me three sockets. One of which had my sony ericsson bluetooth headset charger plugged in. I unplugged this from the socket and ETACS sprung back into life. Maybe ETACS doesn't like any load on the accessory circuit when it's first powered up after a flat battery? Anyhow, all seems fine now and maybe this observation would help someone else with ETACS problem?

Cheers

Default Update to this...

Everytime my battery drains, ETACS doesn't come back online. I need to do a combination of toggling window switches, plugging/unplugging the load from the accessory socket and stopping/starting the car and *touch wood* each time now this has sprung ETACS back to life. Once it's ok again, don't have any issues UNLESS the battery drains again or is disconnected.

Is this a faulty ETACS that needs replacing, or is this just a normal quirk to expect with these cars?

Thanks,
