Default 2.9 cri shut off suddenly, won't start afterwards, HELP!!

Hi all:

My 2008 2.9 cri diesel shut off all of a sudden. After this it won't start. It cranks but the lights of the dash don't come up as usual. I checked all the fuses and they are perfect.

Any hints??

Christian

our 02 suffered a similar problem a couple of times it refused to start after being driven in rain when it first did it putting the pedal to the floor and cranking started it then it died completely and had to be recovered to the garage after a week with their electonics guy it was running but he believed the ecu was playing up but not 100% certain so we left it at that until it failed again at which point i pulled and replaced various fuses and relays and found nothing but tried again and it started but by which time we had lost confidence in it so traded it in for an 07
ps the time it had to be recovered the dash lights were staying on after the key was removed and then they would gradually fade out also it seems a fuse had blown but which one i dont know
i seem to think there have been posts here about some people having problems with the ignition switch
sorry no definitive answers just a couple of suggestions

UPDATE
This this is driving me nuts!!!!!!!!

Took it to the dealer since is still under warranty. They changed the fuel pump and this apparently fixed the issue. However, the check light came on again!!! The guys from the shop said they will probably have to overhaul the whole fuel system and are waiting some BS authorization from Korea.... Will bring it back to the dealer after new year...
