Default Changing headlight bulb

Anyone every done this?

Complete nigthmare. Doesnt seem enough space to get your hand down to disconnect/remove the old one. Looks like I might have to remove the battery first....

Any tips?

with my 02 easiest to remove the headlight then you can get easy access to the bulb and make sure you locate the bulb properly also dont touch the glass of the bulb

I have a 2001 Rio...just changed my bulb last week. I also had trouble getting "behind" the housing to change the bulb. I had to unscrew the housing and pull it out a bit to gain access. I didconnected the wires also because I still didn't have enough room to manuver around. My car has only three screws holding the light housing in place. Once I got them out I had no problem finishing the replacement-- took about 1/2 hour from start to finish. Good luck.

Just a word of warning, i would spray some wd-40 or something similar on the bolts before you remove them. I didn't and found myself snapping two of the bolts. Luckily i managed to drill out the old bolt remains and re-tap a new (albeit bigger) bolt. Plus, once you're ready to refit, put some copper grease on the bolt as it will make it easier to get out in the future.
