Default fuel system rebuild question

1. when rebuilding/reconnecting the high pressure fuel lines from the fuel pump to the common rail & from common rail to the individual injector lines, do i need to use any special type of thread sealant ( thread lock etc) or are the fittings a compression style arrangement?

2. how do i go about bleeding the high pressure side of the system upto the injectors?

no sealant is needed. the lines have clips in the ends of them that will lock onto the flare on the metal fuel line. they have rubber seals in the connectors to seal it.

no bleeding is necessary. before you start the vehicle keep the key in the on position (engine off) and allow the system to build pressure. when you start the car all the air in the system will be pushed out of the injectors. it may take a few tries to start it but usually by the 3rd try it should start and have all of the air out of the fuel lines.
