Remote central locking
Hi, I have just brought a 2000 Kia Sedona 2.9sx TDi auto. I can't fault the car, it’s smooth, comfortable and drives really well. The only thing that I want to do is fit remote central locking.
I already have a kit which I brought about 4 years ago when we had a Toyota Estima but never got round to fitting it. It’s a universal kit but the instructions are a bit complicated.
What I need to find out is what sort of central locking the Sedona has as there are a few types listed:
1. Side door negative trigger
2. Positive trigger
3. side- positive trigger door negative
4. Air pressure lock back track??
I tried wiring it up today with number 3 as it says it’s used by Nissan and Mitsubishi. There are 2 wires coming from the control box one must unlock and one lock, I found a yellow wire in a block by the fuse box that comes in from the door that when I insert a wire from the control box and press unlock on the controller the doors lock and then unlock again and at the same time the radio goes off and comes on again.
I have read another thread that says there are a thin blue/black wire and a white/black wire under the dash but I can't seem to locate the right ones.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
