Default Purge Valve???

My wife has a Kia Sedona (2004 model). She has a check engine soon light that come on and clear at random. When I had the codes read it says something about the purge valve. Sometimes when we are driving the the car will start jumping like it is not getting gas. This is bad because there is no warning and we could be sitting at a red light or driving on the interstate. Could the two be related? How hard is the purge valve to change and where is it located.

Take a look at the KiaTech web site for the location of the Evap purge valve - it's not difficult to change.

I doubt that the purge valve could cause the misfire - for this I'd suspect the fuel filter, spark plugs, coils, coil wires etc.

BTW, keep the posts in the correct forum.
